We would like to call it the rebirth of Seattle's Original Pacific Northwest Black Community Festival.  It started some 50 years ago as way for our community to come together in fellowship and brotherhood.  It was a way to express our culture to show our unity, intellect, spirit, and beauty to the Pacific Northwest.  So it is this that has spawn a new movement of our closing the gap between the old guard and the new to present to you the new and improve Pacific Northwest Black Community Festival.

Seattle, WA known for vast array of corporations, it's breathtaking views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges and at the pinnacle of these is Majestic Mount Rainier. Seattle is a place rich with culture and diversity. One of the cultures that has had a huge impact on the Pacific Northwest is the African American Community. I believe those of us over 35 years of age remember when the Pacific Northwest Black Community Festival was one of the events you cherished during the summer it was synonymous with Seafair and a slew of summer entertainment that brought summer to a wonderful finale.

So with the rebirth off the Pacific Northwest Black Community Festival coming in 2009. We want you to start preparing yourself with what is sure to be an experience of memories of more happier times when the African American Community was able to provide others with a glimpse of it's vast culture which contributed along with other group the transformation of this beautiful city we call home Seattle, WA.
